Prof. Io-Chun Hoi (許耀銓) has been an tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at City University of Hong Kong since November 2021. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, from 2015 to 2020. Born in Macau, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrophysics from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2007. He completed his Ph.D. in Microtechnology and Nanoscience at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, in 2013. Following this, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. His research focuses on waveguide quantum electrodynamics using superconducting artificial atoms and spin ensembles.
