Prof. Io-Chun Hoi (許耀銓) joined department of Physics, City University of Hong Kong as associate Professor since December 2021. He was assistant professor and associate professor in department of Physics, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2015 and 2020, respectively. He was born in Macau. He received BS in Electrophysics department, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan in 2007. He received Ph.D. degree at Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in 2013. He did his postdoctoral research at University of California, Santa Barbara, U.S.A. His research interests is waveguide quantum electrodynamics with superconducting artificial atoms.
